The new Country Living arrived today. I like to flick through in anticipation of the peaceful read to come and noticed a couple of articles about the Isle of Mull, one about red deer and the other about the producers of organic tweed on the island. Mull has a special place in my heart, it is where we went for a family holiday when Mum was ill. My parents and all my siblings with partners, friends and dogs. We spent a lovely time in a little cottage, exploring the island, eating together round the big table in the kitchen, crossing to beautiful Iona, buying gorgeous knitted hats and foolishly deciding to go on a boat trip to Fingalls Cave. Much seasickness all round and I wont mention which of us had a quick wee in the cave......but he knows who he is! It was special time together against the backdrop of her illness so I shall savour the articles later and think fondly of the Isle of Mull.
