Gently keeping busy

CIMG2213

Have spent some time snuggled under this reading, you all have excellent taste in nostalgic comfort reading. I have learnt how to use the on line ordering service for our local library and will soon be joined by many of your recommendations, some of which I loved as a child and others that are new to me.

These are some little notecards I made for my Littlest Sis, I scanned the appliqued picture and made some postcardsCIMG2377 and a wallet to keep them in. I was inspired by this excellent tutorial ( which I still can't link to despite an email from Typepad telling me what to do! ) http://www.feelingstitchy.com/2008/05/are-we-almost-there.html

I've also started a couple of new yarn projects, but as the camera has a cob on today I'll have to show them tomorrow!

My Little Helper came dashing into the house to tell my our little dog had done a poo on the path in the garden....as soon as I saw it I knew it wasn't the dog who had left it! Struggling between laughing at his ingenuity and keeping a straight face as I told him how it is wrong to tell lies and what did he think the big white thing in the bathroom was for, I tried to focus on how our children always manage to surprise us!!

The postcards are beautiful, I hope she sends me one!! xx

How funny about the Little Helper!!!! Very ingenious too!

But those notecards and holder are stunning! What a fantastic gift for your sister! I'm off to follow the link now - thanks for sharing it with us. Lucy xxx

I thought I might have been the only mother whose child had pooed in the flowerbed. Now I know I am not alone!! He only did it the once (thank heavens).

Lovely cards.

The postcards are indeed beautiful! If I ever get a minute to sit down I may write one or two! Or maybe I'll just keep them all for myself!! Poo in the garden? At least it wasn't in the house! x

lovely cards -- the poo made me laugh

Your Little Helper is a clever one. I laughed at his attempt at a cover up. Your quilt/blanket looks great for snuggling and even better, snuggling with a good book. I love the post cards, so sweet and pretty with soft colours.

What a lovely idea - your postcards are gorgeous! Thanks for the link - a project for the ever growing list, I think!

Your Little Helper isn't daft! The dog gets blamed for everything in this house but luckily never that one!!

Just LOVE the postcards, they are really wonderful! Your Little Helper is the most clever girl! :o) Happy weekend to you all ((hugs))

We have a well in front of our basement window to let the light in. There was a strange smell coming from it for ages and it was only when I mentioned it to Jack that he told me him and a friend had been weeing down there........YUCK!! Still it'll be something to embarrass him with when he brings his first girlfriend home!
Glad you're getting back on your feet, take care of yourself.
