We have a buyer for the cottage, which is good news but I'll be sad to sell it. It's been lovely creating somewhere with a totally different feel to here, we're not stayed as much as we would have liked as it has been rented out over the summers. I never thought we'd own somewhere so close to the sea but it's time for someone else to have it. He has modernisation plans....whereas we wanted to breath new life into it in a sympathetic New England cottage sort of way. Ah well. We are off today with a big van to clear out everything and a friend has kindly volunteered her garage for us to store it while we Ebay or Freecycle it.
So it's been a busy week of completing paperwork, searching for documents that I've stored ' in a safe place' and, in the absence of a postal service, trips to the solicitors to drop it all off. I've booked a few more stall, done a bit more on my website and squeezed in a bit of sewing. Have fallen behind with blogs reading and currently have 118 posts to read on blog lines! Which will be lovely, catching up with what everyone has been doing.
I nipped to the church jumble again as it seems to happen every week on a Thursday and for a fiver got
There's a couple of metres of the towelling and I've got plans for that already, the blanket at the bottom is a really heavy wool and I might have a go at felting it.
Then I called in at the fabric shop to find she was selling off tons of fabric at 20p a metre........20p!!
I think I'll go back next week for another look!
Right, off to shift furniture - I just hope the sun shines so we can enjoy a last picnic in the sunny corner by the cottage door.
Have a lovely weekend.
