Bunting brightens any room or transforms a garden for a party, come and learn how to make a string of jolly pennants for your home. Bring your sewing machine or use mine.

Wednesday 16th May  7.30 - 9.30  Introducing Applique

How do you stop your fabric moving about when you trying to do applique? How do you applique letters? Bring your sewing machine along and find out! If you don't have one you are welcome to use one of mine.

Tuesday 22nd May 7.30 - 9.30 Hand Sewn Patchwork

English Paper Piecing is a relaxing, traditional form of hand sewn patchwork, you'll learn how to make hexagons and join them into patchwork for a vintage look.

Patchwork is, rightly, very popular and is perfectly suited to making a unique and gorgeous lampshade. Bring your own machine or use one of mine.

Tuesday 26th June 7.30 - 9.30 Learn to Love your Sewing Machine

Bring your sewing machine and learn how to get the most out of it, don't leave it in the cupboard getting dusty - come and make a cushion cover to get to grips with basic techniques. If you don't have a sewing machine feel free to use one of mine.

Tuesday 3rd July 7.30 - 9.30 Crochet Accessories

Crochet is hot on the catwalk so a crochet necklace is the perfect way to accessorise for summer. We'll combine buttons, beads and more to make a unique accessory.

Tuesday 10th July 7.30 - 9.30 Impressive Patchwork

Choose some lovely fabric then learn how to work some magic to create an impressive 9 patch square.

Tuesday 17th July A New Granny

You've mastered the traditional Granny and know your trebles from your chain, so now it's time for a new crochet design with a wonderful starburst centre.

Tuesday 24th July 7.30 - 9.30 Learn to Knit

Learn to cast on and knit so you can create a coffee cosy for your favourite mug. If you learnt to knit when you were young and need a refresher you could learn purl stitch and make a ribbed cosy. Needles and wool provided.

Tuesday 31st July 7.30 - 9.30 Home Accessories - Doorstop

Hand made is always best! Whether you prefer a vintage look or a minimalist style you'll be able to create a doorstop to suit your home with one of my easy to use sewing machines.

 

Workshops are £20 which includes materials and refreshments, guidance  and encouragement in my garden  studio.

Handmade Christmas Decorations Workshop

Christmas arrived early in the studio as we held the first of our range of Christmas workshops. It was a riot of red & green fabric, of gingham & ribbon and of chat & laughter. The perfect start to the Christmas season.

Bunting Making Class

As part of the range of workshops building on sewing machine skills we are having a bunting making class on Tuesday 15th November 7.30 - 9.30. You'll make a string of 10 jolly pennants over 2m long, just right to brighten up your room. Don't worry if you don't have a sewing machine you can use mine! Dyeing to Knit Class

There are many lovely yarns available to buy, but what could be better than one you have dyed yourself?

Join Debbie Tomkies of DT Craft & Design for a dyeing taster session and see how easy it is to create fabulous, one of a kind yarns. With Debbie's expert guidance you'll dye enough yarn to make a lovely lacy scarf. Debbie will be providing everything you'll need and you can take away one of her designer scarf patterns to knit a scarf for you or for a friend - a perfect Christmas gift!

To Russia with Love

The response to my invitation earlier this year to come to the studio to make bracelets to send to a charity working with Russian orphans was wonderful. So many of you came with your families and made bracelets, just a small gift to send half way round the world but sending a bit of love from Sale with it. 

Orphan Outreach delivered 35,000 bracelets, yes 35,000. Imagine our bracelets with thousands of others being greeted with smiles like these.

 
So thank you, for helping, for caring and for being part of Craft Hope's wonderful Project for Orphan Outreach.

Delicious Cupcake Decorating

 
We had a wonderful time at the Decorate Together Cupcakes class on Sunday afternoon, some very talented Mothers and daughters cam to enjoy some time together making their cupcakes look fantastic.

then getting to grips with the piping bag - under Heather's expert guidance they were all delighted with their professional results.

Beginners Jewellery Making Class 18th October

Sew Lovely Class

 
Come and join us on Tuesday 4th October at 7.30 for a relaxing hand sewing class. With a few simple stitches you will learn to make a perfect pincushion and a sweet needle case for your sewing basket. No more hunting round for a needle, they'll be safe in your handmade needle case. Even if you are a novice sewer you'll be delighted with your handmade goodies. All materials are provided along with some cake to keep your creative juices flowing!

Beautiful Brooches

 
Even if you are not an experienced sewer you'll be able to make a wonderful brooch, just right to cheer up your coat this Autumn. Choose from my stash of lovely fabrics, have a rummage in the button tin and create a unique flower. Craft classes held in Sale.Wednesday 28th September 7.30 - 9.30 

Creativity Galore!

The Craft Open Day was a great success thanks to all the kind people who came to help make bracelets for Orphan Outreach, 150 in total! What a brilliant package to put in the post, sending love from children here to children in Russia.

 
So much colourful creativity, even the youngest children enjoyed threading beads and playing with colour.

 
With delicious cupcakes kindly donated by Heather's Cupcakes to keep our energy up we crafted all day. It was wonderful to use the Studio for such a special project. Thanks to Craft Hope for telling us about it.
