Home again
What a wonderful week in Devon!
We took our caravan on it's first long trip and picked a campsite because it had an indoor pool - great to keep the children happy on rainy days we thought, but the weather was amazing.I'd packed woolly hats, scarves, gloves, wellies and extra blankets
in fact we needed shorts and flip flops.
We got a bit sun burnt one day as it was so warm, we paddled in the sea and chilled out on the beach.Lovely, sunshine is such a mood enhancer and combined with the smell and sounds of the sea it's perfect.
Luckily the campsite was pretty empty as the nights were rather noisy - Mr FK snoring, My Little Helper grinding his teeth, The Big Sister talking in her sleep and me cough, cough, coughing! If we'd had close neighbours I think we'd have kept them awake with our night time chorus!
I've been back to the Dr today as I'm still feeling pretty manky ( didn't see my usual Dr, saw a new chap who was about thirty with the longest, darkest eyelashes I've ever seen!) and I still have tonsillitis and maybe glandular fever too, great!
Like most of the country we woke up to snow on Sunday morning, so different to our sunny week away.
I've managed to whittle the bloglines total down from the 578 new posts I had to read but still need to catch up with some of my favourites, an inspiring way to enjoy the peace in the house before collecting my little darlings from school.
Sounds like a lovely holiday ... though it sounds like you could do with another one to recover! Get well soon.

Tonsillitis is awful! I'm glad you and the family got some nice time away in the sun on the beach. I'd go for some of that right now.

Love the photo of the beach huts.
Sounds like you had a lovely time in Devon, but poor you, I hope you feel better very soon.
Love

I'm glad you had a lovely week in beautiful Devon. Your days on the beach sound perfect - think I'd give the nights a miss though!!!
I hope you are better really soon. Tonsilitis is bad enough but glandular fever is just too much!

Glad you had a good holiday, shame you are not feeling better though. Funny I went to my dentist and it was a new guy, very lovely!! Shame there was nothing wrong with my teeth, I need to wait another 12 months to see him, unless I get tooth ache or something!

Those pics are fab! You were so lucky with that weather - it's been freezing in Suffolk. If you get a chance would you be able to email me the name of the campsite if you recommend it as we are hoping to go down that way in the summer hols. Hope you feel better soon, we have it all in this house too.

Sounds like you had the perfect week although I'm sorry you're still suffering with the throat and cough. Love the picture of the row of beach huts. Enjoy your blog catch up!

Sounds like a blissful week, glad you had sunshine, it makes all the difference.
As for snoring, try sharing a tent with a world class snorer, I have to pull up the hood on my sleeping bag AND do it up - very attractive!
